National Constitution Center Selects Neiman
Philadelphia, PA (April 5, 2011) - Following a nationwide search, the National Constitution Center has selected Neiman to lead a branding effort that will enhance the Center’s mission to illuminate constitutional ideals and inspire active citizenship, as well as usher in an exciting new era of audience engagement for the Center both on-site and remotely.
As the world’s only museum dedicated to the U.S. Constitution and one of the most interactive history museums in the United States, the National Constitution Center attracts about one million visitors each year. With nearly 76,000 square feet of exhibition space, the Center houses over 100 interactive and multimedia exhibits, a theater which is home to the award-winning live performance, Freedom Rising, and Signers’ Hall, where 42 life-size bronze statues provide visitors with an up-close look at the Constitution’s signers and a unique photo opportunity.
"This branding initiative is a key component of our new strategic plan, and it was essential we find the right partner,” said Margaret Cronan, Chief Communications Officer of the National Constitution Center. “Neiman’s own strategic planning process was compelling and was a great complement to our larger plan. The firm’s insight into our business was impressive, and we quickly realized that the effortless and energetic synergy between our team and Neiman’s would lead to a dynamic relationship. Our goal was to find a national-caliber firm with best-in-class talent and proven systems. Although firms across the country competed for this project, we ultimately found the best partner right down the street.”
Neiman was chosen from more than 15 other agencies across the United States.
“We are proud to work with all our clients,” said Neiman CEO Tim Reeves. “But to have the opportunity to partner with the National Constitution Center, to enhance the nation’s relationship with the greatest self-governance document in the history of the world – that is truly a special assignment, especially at a time when new quests for self-governance are captivating the world. I am proud to work every day with the strategic, creative and digital thinkers at Neiman who won this assignment – and humbled that the first-rate leadership team at the National Constitution Center judged us to be the right partner for this lofty and important work.”
The National Constitution Center is located at 525 Arch St. on Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, America’s most historic square mile. The Center is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness about the Constitution and its relevance in Americans’ daily lives. Opened on July 4, 2003, the Center serves as a museum, a national education center and a forum for debate on constitutional issues. In addition to its core exhibit, the National Constitution Center often presents special feature exhibitions such as, Spies, Traitors & Saboteurs: Fear and Freedom in America, which illustrates the challenge of securing our nation without compromising the civil liberties upon which it was founded. The upcoming Discover the Real George Washington: New Views from Mount Vernon will give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at our nation’s first president through his achievements, legacies, family, intellectual pursuits, and entrepreneurial ventures. This world-class exhibition opens July 1 and coincides with the Center’s first Kids Free Summer. For more information, call 215.409.6700 or visit www.constitutioncenter.org.
