The 11th Hour

What does 11:11 mean? I’ve read a lot of things: WWI ended in the eleventh hour of the eleventh month of the eleventh day (which is why we recognize our nation’s veterans today); the sun has an 11.11 year cycle; the number “1” representing the sun, the giver of life in Hindu mythology; the Nerd New Year. Yet, the most interesting piece of this whole puzzle is why we feel compelled to post on our social networks that we, too, have observed 11:11 on 11/11/11.
